Narrative Writing
Narrative paragraphs are often used to describe what a person does over a period of time. Words like 'later' are used to connect what happens.
We all have experiences lodged in our memories, which are worthy of sharing with readers. Yet sometimes they are so fused with other memories. When you write a narrative paragraph, you are telling a story.
Example:Yesterday evening I got home from work at 5 o'clock. My wife had made tea which I drank. After that, I had a bath. Later, we watched TV for about an hour. Then we got ready to go out with some friends. Our friends arrived at about 9 o'clock and we chatted for a while. We decided to visit a restaurant and have dinner. We really enjoyed ourselves and stayed late. We finally left at one o'clock in the morning.
