Back in 1986,  my father, Prof. Edward Augustus got a driving assistant (me!!!!) and 28 years later, I too am getting one. Having been issued the driving license, my wife and I decided to take our daughter for an initiation drive. With the holidays in place, we tested her driving prowess with a magical tour to Wayanad.

I have not really sat for an extended time on the left side of the car ever since I took charge of the steering wheel. This was my chance. Also, I remember absorbing the beauty of Wayanad way back in 1980, when a couple of friends and I went on a bus tour during the inauguration of Wayanad district.

Needless to say, even today, the beauty of Western ghats is captivating and breath-taking. if you'd like to see more photos from the left side of the car....
